Shampoo is vibrated on a plate at 110Hz. Holes are poked in the shampoo with a puff of air. At low oscillation amplitude, the holes collapse. At an intermediate amplitude, they are stable and persistent. Above a critical oscillation amplitude, the hole delocalizes and acts a seed cell in the formation of a honeycomb structure across the entire plate
